Fuzzie Space Ferret Rescue is a no-kill ferret rescue shelter, we are here to help ferrets and hopefully to help educate the public in the proper care and treatment of ferrets. We take in ferrets that maybe lost, unwanted, unclaimed, or owner-released and place them in good loving forever homes.
Veterinary care is provided if a ferret comes in ill before adoption. If for some reason a ferret's health or age does not allow for adoption, The ferret/ ferrets will stay here until its natural death. I will not put a ferret to sleep because I could not find him/her a home. So please make sure that a ferret is right for you and your family. They can be a wonderful pet if taken care of properly.
Hello, We are the owners & operaters of the Fuzzie Space Ferret Rescue Shelter
I am Cathy (left) and with me is my daughter (co-owner) Miranda, We started this rescue shelter with a dream and so far things are going fairly well for our shelter although they do get a little tight at times we always manage make sure our ferrets are well taken care of. We have 10 fuzzies up for adoption right now, we have been lucky and have not been loaded down but only once so far knock on wood, we love all of our ferrets a lot and look forward to taking care of them while they are here in the shelter, and the system we use to take care of our shelter ferrets (as well as our peronally owned ferrets) works just great.
We are hoping with the raffles we will have throughout the year will help our shelter quite a bit, as you may or may not know all proceeds from the sales of raffle tickets or sales from our online rescue shelter store goes to help care for our fuzzies 100%, we DO NOT pocket any funds raised to help care for our shelter ferrets. Our current vet bill for the care of our shelter ferrets is at $386 which is pretty good for us at this time and, we have lost four fuzzies so far this year due to illness, we do not adopt out any fuzzies with illnesses and we care for them here at our shelter until their natural death, we are hoping it will be a long time before we lose anymore fuzzies from our shelter.
I am considering starting a weekly diary (blog) so i can keep everyone up to date as to what is happening with our rescue shelter, i am also thinking about adding a photo page so we can post pics of the fuzzies in the shelter and a rainbow bridge page so you can see who is at the bridge. Send us some feedback via email and let us know what you would like to see on the site and what you think about my ideas for the blog and the new pages for our rescue shelter website, we can't read your minds so feedback would be great. Fuzzie Space Ferret Rescue has a Home based ferret shelter, I have done up a application. I hope that you will understand that since for one reason or another, these little guys have already been in so many homes, and that we are looking for their final home so everyone needs to fill out the adoption form. I can not adopt to children, meaning you MUST be 18 yrs or older, this is required by law. I can adopt to the parents, however all parties must come to the shelter. We wont adopt to anyone that is not willing to feed the proper diet required ( kitten food is not an acceptable food for ferrets). Ferret food is way better than kitten food.
